The Gould’s subspecies of northern Mexico. U.S. hunters book through a licensed Mexican outfitter, who arranges the permit, private-ranch access and the paperwork to import the bird home.

Open to residents and non-residents. Needs an Outdoors Card with a small-game licence and a spring turkey tag (bearded birds only; hunting ends 7 p.m.). Allowed in specified WMUs.
Ontario MNR →Spring season ~ April 1 – May 15
Turkey hunting is open to Manitoba residents only — non-residents and foreign hunters cannot hunt turkey here, even through an outfitter. Resident hunts run in southern Game Hunting Areas.
